We are Mediamorfosis 2017, a collective of 10 creators with a shared vision for the Transmedia revolution. Together, we declare:
1. HAL KIRKLAND
It's easier to sound like an expert by saying something isn't possible. Only by believing in the impossible can we continue to evolve as creators and as people.
2. NICK FORTUGNO
The way a user interacts with your story is as much a part of your story as the writing, light, sound, or costume. Design the interactions with as much care as all of the other elements of your work.
3. CHRISTIAN BENNET
Understand your audience, research them and respect them, then find a way to build a deeper relationship with them on their own terms.
4. JULIE ANDEM/ MARY MAGNUS
Instead of asking how to get more viewers, first ask yourself what you can give them. The easiest way to discover what they need is by listening to them. It's this genuine connection that allows creators and audiences to challenge and inspire one another.
5. SARA BOZANIC
Transmedia storytelling is like a road trip: plan, consume, connect and count on changing directions every time you discover new places and meet new people.
6. ROSEMARIE LERNER
Transmedia enables dialog with others and gives agency to the way a story is told, and that's even more interesting than the story itself.
7. NAOMI ROTH
Fake news is sexier than reality. But we must never forget that facts, demonstrable facts, scientific facts still exist. Love them, look for them, pursue them. On this quest for authenticity, may virtual reality be your servant, not your master.
8. DAMIAN KIRZNER
The king is content. The queen is the habit of consumption.
9. JUAN SEÑOR
Only journalism will save journalism. The free is very expensive. Or we charge for quality journalism or quality journalism is over.
10. SPENCER HUNT
As creators, we have become spiritual gurus leading billions of people to enlightenment.
